We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant / Manager - Finance for our client at Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance within the freight forwarding industry, with proven expertise in managing financial operations, leading teams, and preparing detailed financial reports. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting. Manage banking operations, ensuring smooth transactions and compliance with banking regulations. Handle foreign remittance processes efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations. Ensure accurate calculation, filing, and payment of taxes, adhering to statutory deadlines. Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit margin analysis and sales reports. Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring high performance and professional development. Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Manage vendor and agent payments, ensuring timely settlements and strong relationships. Oversee the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage. Total work experience of 7-8 years, with at least 5 years in the freight forwarding industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting. Proficient in banking operations and foreign remittance procedures. Experience in leading finance teams and managing financial operations. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
